About Us
Ayn Rand Center Israel (ARCI) operates under the registered non-profit The Objectivist Freedom Center Ltd. (CC) and is dedicated to advancing Ayn Rand’s philosophy of Objectivism in Israel and across the Middle East.
The Center began its activities in 2012, initially with the generous support of Mr. Carl Barney through the Ayn Rand Institute (ARI) in the United States. In later years, Mr. Barney continued his support independently through the Prometheus Foundation, which to this day funds many of ARCI’s flagship initiatives—including the prestigious Atlas Award and a variety of educational programs on Ayn Rand’s ideas.
In parallel, the Ayn Rand Institute is close partner of the Center, collaborating with ARCI on a number of important projects such as the annual Hebrew essay contest, academic conferences, and public lectures. For the first time in Israel, ARCI has introduced a Hebrew-language essay competition on Rand’s works, offering prizes and recognition to outstanding students.
Beyond academic activities, the Center also organizes events and lecture series for student clubs, universities, and community organizations, while making Objectivist philosophy accessible to the general public through dedicated courses and workshops.
In the field of public policy and intellectual outreach, ARCI provides moral and intellectual support to the Israeli Freedom Movement, and it extends its educational mission to Arabic-speaking audiences throughout the Middle East by making available select translations of Ayn Rand’s philosophical writings in Arabic.
Through this multi-faceted activity, the Ayn Rand Center Israel serves as a unique hub for ideas of reason, individualism, and freedom—bringing Ayn Rand’s philosophy into the heart of Israeli cultural and intellectual life while extending its influence to the wider region.
